Uniwigs Claire Mono Hair Topper Review: First Impressions

A before and after image side by side of a woman with hair loss with and without a hairtopper.

My Uniwigs Claire hair topper review, first impressions, straight out of the box. The Claire is a mono top human hair topper and one of Uniwigs’ most talked-about pieces in the hair loss community. Here’s what I thought when I first got mine.

About the Uniwigs Claire

The Claire is Uniwigs’ mono top construction, which means each individual hair strand is sewn into a thin, skin-like material. This allows the hairs to move in any direction and creates a realistic scalp appearance at the parting – which is exactly what you need when you’re dealing with crown thinning from androgenic alopecia. It’s not the cheapest topper in the Uniwigs range but it’s consistently the most recommended one in hair loss communities, and for good reason.

The 7×7 base covers a decent amount of the crown without being so large it’s difficult to blend. If you’re not sure whether this base size suits your hair loss area, here’s how to measure your hair loss area before you order anything – it takes two minutes and will save you from buying something that doesn’t fit properly.
