Body care is one of the easiest gifts to get right. Nobody opens a nice body oil and thinks “well, what am I meant to do with this?” (the only way to get it wrong is a scent they can’t stand).

I find Sol de Janeiro lovely, so of course it’s near the top. This one is a big bottle of body lotion and a body mist that go together, which is basically the whole Sol de Janeiro routine in one box, and the lotion is the full 400ml, so it won’t be gone by New Year.

There’s a little tub of Sol de Janeiro’s Delícia Drench body butter and the shimmery version of NUXE’s dry oil, which goes on skin and hair. An ESPA shower gel sits alongside them. The other half is hair minis from Philip Kingsley and Christophe Robin, plus a Color Wow glossing spray. It’s £25, and LOOKFANTASTIC says what’s inside is worth over £65 (so it’s a good one to grab for yourself too).

How to pick a pamper gift set
Go by scent first. If you know their perfume, pick something in the same family, like warm and vanilla-ish (Saltair, Sol de Janeiro) or fresh and floral (Rituals Sakura, Scottish Fine Soaps). No idea at all? A discovery-style set like the NEOM or Molton Brown one lets them find a favourite.
Then think about how they actually wash. A bath person will use a soak or an oil, a shower person won’t touch it. And if they’ve got sensitive or very dry skin, I’d lean towards the creams and balms over anything with a strong fragrance.
