Fundraising for Alopecia UK

Fundraising for Alopecia UK

Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia. The charity has aims around Support, Awareness and Research. As part of #auk15For15 I will be doing 15 different challenges and trying 15 new things for the 15th anniversary for Alopecia UK in September to raise money for the charity. I will be documenting my adventures (or misadventures) on social media as well as posting information to help bring awareness to Alopecia and my story.

To my new followers who may not be aware I am severely sight impaired (hence my guide cane sitting next to my hair topper in the picture with my favorite pair of sunglasses) but I also have Androgenic Alopecia. Both my sight loss and my hair loss started around the same time in my late teens and continued to progress throughout the years. I’ve been documenting my journey with both here on my IG so I’m really excited to be a part of this fundraiser as it’s close to my heart.

Alopecia UK relies on the support of fundraisers and donors to continue the fantastic work it does, so please help if you can. It would really mean a lot to all of us.
