Alopecia UK is a small charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia, with aims around Support, Awareness and Research. This post is about my fundraising for Alopecia UK as part of their anniversary campaign.
As part of #auk15For15 I will be doing 15 different challenges and trying 15 new things to raise funds for Alopecia UK. Alopecia UK has been running for 15 years, supporting people with hair loss across the UK, and this fundraiser is celebrating that anniversary while continuing to build their capacity to help.
Why I’m fundraising for Alopecia UK
Alopecia UK is one of those charities that does genuinely important work with limited resources. They provide support for people newly diagnosed with alopecia, information about different types of hair loss, access to community and connection, and they fund research into causes and treatments. As someone living with androgenic alopecia, I know how isolating hair loss can be and how much a supportive community matters.
