I’ve been ordering from them since 2021, back when nobody there had the faintest idea who I was and I was just a woman in the West Midlands paying for her own toner. So by now I know what I’d be putting in a basket without having to think very hard about it.

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Start here, because the rest of a routine falls apart if your cleanser leaves your face feeling like you’ve washed it with industrial detergent. STYLEVANA lists this one in its rosacea-friendly routine and gives the pH as around 5 to 6. The texture is a light gel that produces a modest foam, so it feels fresh and clean afterwards.

Abib Heartleaf Calming Toner Skin Booster
Heartleaf is what I look for on a week when my face wants calming and nothing else. It’s used for soothing, which is why I keep finding it in the K-beauty routines people write for redness. This is Abib’s take on it, 200ml, and it goes in after cleansing and before anything that counts as active.

SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule
One of the easiest things on this list to recommend for reactive skin. It’s a simple formula built around centella asiatica, which makes it a good option when skin is hot, irritated, or generally pissed off with you. Lightweight watery gel that sinks in fast. I’d look at this one if you want calming hydration and you don’t want to add another heavy cream. COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
Slippery. Slightly viscous. Very much snail, and if you’ve never used it before that first pump is a bit of a moment, though it stops being noticeable the second you work it in. What you’re getting underneath the weirdness is 96% snail secretion filtrate, fragrance-free, which is a lot of hydration without a pile of extras that might set your face off.

Purito SEOUL Oat-In Calming Gel Cream
For anyone who hates heavy moisturisers. Oat and panthenol doing the hydration and barrier work, in a clear gel-cream that melts in almost immediately. I love this sort of texture during the day, mostly because a cream that sits on my face like a blanket is my least favourite thing in skincare (and there are a lot of them).

Dr. Althea 345 Relief Cream
This one goes firmly on the “my skin is having a tantrum” shelf. Niacinamide and panthenol do the calming, and the listing points it squarely at sensitive, irritated skin. Lightweight gel-cream, fragrance-free, so you get the moisture without the weight (tea tree leaf water sits second on the label, so patch test if tea tree bothers you).

Aestura AtoBarrier 365 Cream
Redness plus a wrecked barrier is its own special misery, and this is the one I’d investigate for it. Ceramide capsules, aimed at cutting moisture loss and shoring the barrier back up. Richer and creamier than the Purito, without being the thick greasy sort that sits there doing nothing.
One caveat, and it’s the same one I’ve put on my sensitive skin routine post. This isn’t malassezia safe. There are esters and free fatty acids high in the ingredient list and those feed the yeast behind fungal acne, so if you flake round your nose and brows, the Purito further up is the safer buy.

BEAUTY OF JOSEON Centella Asiatica Calming Mask
The basket-filler, and I mean that kindly. 15% centella asiatica extract plus three types of hyaluronic acid, so it calms and hydrates, which is all I want a sheet mask to do. Thin sheet, nicely soaked. Masks are the sensible way to close the last of the gap to £99.

Getting to £99 with things you’ll actually use
I’m not putting prices in here because they move around during a sale and a wrong number in a blog post is worse than no number at all. The shape that works: cleanser, toner, one thing to treat with, one moisturiser. That’s most of the way there for most people. Top up with masks, because you will use them and they don’t take up half a shelf.
Easiest way to get there is the bottle you’re already nearly out of. You know the one (we all do, we just look away from it and carry on squeezing). Buy that, and the £99 sort of arrives on its own.
