This is the set I’d pick for someone with sensitive or redness-prone skin. It’s a whole calming routine in one box, built around madecassoside and centella, and the formulas are vegan. Under £35 too, which is a nice spot for a gift. If they need more than a gift set, I’ve rounded up my favourite Korean skincare for sensitive skin in one post.

MEDICUBE PDRN Pink 3-Piece Set
Everything in this set is pink, which honestly does half the gifting work for you. The whole line is built on salmon PDRN, and the cream adds niacinamide for dullness and uneven tone. I went through the serum line by line in my Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum review.

A Sephora UK exclusive, and it’s a good mix of brands I already rate. At £45 it comes from a UK shop, so there’s no wait for shipping from Korea. One of the eight is from Glow Recipe, which isn’t Korean, but the rest are. It was out of stock when I last checked, so tap the link in case it’s back.

A limited edition set for my US readers, and two of the four are full size. The eye serum and the moisturiser both have retinal or retinol in them, so I’d give this to someone who already uses retinoids rather than a complete beginner.

COSRX The Holidays Set
A STYLEVANA exclusive, and it’s a whole snail routine in one box. It was down to just under £30 when I looked. That’s about half its usual price, and a lot of gift for the money.

Best for: a Korean skincare beginner, or a teenager with the odd spot.

This is Anua’s PDRN glow line in one set, with a little keyring case for the mist thrown in. One heads up for UK shoppers: Olive Young shows UK prices before the 20% VAT, so expect to pay about a fifth more at checkout.
What’s in the box: PDRN serum 30ml, PDRN mist 30ml, PDRN cream 60ml, five sheet masks and a mist keyring case.
Best for: the glow-chaser who’s been eyeing up PDRN.

Best for: oily or combination skin that still wants a dewy look.
In the US: Klairs Blue Sensitive Skincare Routine Set
Four products from Klairs’ calming blue line, and it was $59.99 on their site when I looked, down from $110. Klairs ship to the US and Canada, but not the UK.

In the US: ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Trio
ROUND LAB’s best-known line, straight from their US store. The Dokdo toner is the one everyone talks about, and here it comes full size with the lotion and a cleanser. It’s $42 – just know ROUND LAB’s US store only ships within the mainland US.

Best for: a simple routine for dehydrated skin.
The big gift: Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum VI Set

If you want to really spoil someone, this is the one. Sulwhasoo is the classic Korean luxury brand, and First Care is their famous ginseng serum, the step that goes on right after cleansing.

If I could only give one Korean skincare product to someone whose skin I don’t know, it’d be this. It’s the one I reach for constantly, especially during a flare, when my skin wants hydration and nothing remotely active. There’s no fragrance and no plant oils on the label, so it’s a safe bet for sensitive or redness-prone skin.
It’s also a big bottle, which makes it feel like a real present rather than a token one. My full thoughts on it are in my Anua skincare review.

This is the gift for the friend who’s always fighting redness. I use it every morning after cleansing and it’s a permanent fixture in my routine. It’s fragrance-free, and of the Anua serums it’s the easiest one for anyone with seb derm.

I’ll be honest, I’ve always thought most eye creams are overpriced tiny tubes of moisturiser. Retinol K-beauty eye creams have changed my mind a bit, and this is the one I’m using up right now. It’s a pump with a twist lock, so it travels well, and it has retinol, niacinamide and peptides in it.
