You find a Korean skincare site, the prices look too cheap to be real, and the next thing you do is go and check whether the whole thing is a scam. I’ve typed some version of that into Google myself more times than I’d like to admit, usually at about eleven at night with a full basket and my card already out of my purse.
At a glance
SkinSeoul is legit, and it ships direct from Korea to 24 countries. Delivery is free over £45 in the UK and $50 in the US, there are free samples in every order, and UK orders have been VAT-inclusive since July 2026, so nothing extra lands on your doormat. Two codes are live and the site only takes one of them: SEOULFESTIVAL10 for 10% off while the Seoul Festival sale runs, or my code NEVEEN for 5% off year round. Check the address bar says skin-seoul.com, because several shops have near-identical names.
Yes, SkinSeoul is legit. It’s run by SKINSEOUL PTE. LTD., registered in Singapore, with a Korean branch in Incheon and a registered office in Changwon. Shipping goes direct from Korea to 24 countries, the UK and US included. There are public reviews on Trustpilot and on reviews.io, so you can go and read what actual customers said rather than taking my word for it. The site carries over 500 brands and there are free samples in every order.
Right. Now the bits worth knowing before you fill a basket.

Four shops, nearly the same name
Most of the confusion online comes down to this. Several shops have almost identical names and they are different companies.
skin-seoul.com is the one I’m writing about. Singapore registered, ships out of Korea. Skin2Seoul is a UK company at skin2seoul.co.uk and it also sells through the Superdrug marketplace. PureSeoul is the UK chain with the shops in Westfield and Canary Wharf. Then there’s skinseoul.co.uk, which is a separate thing again.
So people read a review of one, buy from another, and can’t work out why the experience didn’t match. Before you order anything, look at the address bar. If it doesn’t say skin-seoul.com, you’re somewhere else. (Sounds obvious. Less obvious at midnight with nine tabs open.)
What to know before you order
It ships straight from Korea, which is a good part of why the prices look like they do, so build in a bit more time than you would for a UK order. The tracking tends to go quiet in the middle and then catch up all at once. Every K-beauty site I use behaves the same way.
Free shipping kicks in at £45 in the UK and $50 in the US. The thresholds are set per country, so don’t go hunting for one global number.
UK orders have been VAT-inclusive since July 2026, which means your parcel clears customs without a VAT bill or a courier handling fee turning up on your doormat. That used to be the worst part of ordering out of Korea.
US orders now carry a duty charge at checkout. The de minimis exemption ended in August 2025, so customs and import duty get added at the point of payment rather than turning up later as a bill at your door. I’d take that over the alternative, personally. There’s no delivery to PO Boxes in the US either.
Then the free samples, which sound like a throwaway perk until you’ve had a few. Half of what I now buy full size started as a sachet I’d never have picked myself.
What I’d buy to build a routine from scratch
Here’s the part I wanted to write. If I were starting with nothing, no Korean skincare in the house at all, I wouldn’t go near ten steps. Five. Things that do their job without needing a diagram.
A gentle cleanser first. Round Lab and Anua both do low-drama cleansers that won’t strip your face off, and if you’re coming off something foaming and squeaky, this is the step that changes the most.
Then a hydrating toner, which works differently to the astringent stuff a lot of us grew up on. A Korean toner softens and hydrates before everything else goes on, so skip anything that smells like your teenage years. Pyunkang Yul and Isntree are the usual starting points.
One serum. Just one. Buy for your single biggest concern and ignore the other five things you’ve read about this week, because otherwise you’ll never know what worked. Beauty of Joseon for dullness and texture. Anua if you’re dealing with redness or blemishes. Klairs if your skin kicks off at everything, and I’ve written up the Korean products that helped my rosacea and the Klairs bits separately, so I won’t repeat myself here.
Moisturiser next, matched to your skin and not to whatever looks nicest on a shelf. ILLIYOON and AESTURA if you’re dry or sensitive, and the Aestura is one of the two moisturisers in my short routine for sensitive skin. Something lighter like COSRX or SKIN1004 if oily skin is the thing you’ve been fighting (I’m combination and rosacea-prone, so I’m firmly in the sensitive camp and shop accordingly).
Sunscreen matters more than the other four put together. Round Lab and Isntree are where I’d send anyone first, though if you want the long version I’ve compared fifteen Korean sunscreens with the full ingredient lists broken down.
Five products. That’s a routine. Toner pads and sheet masks and essences can come later, once you’ve worked out what your skin responds to, because most people add them far too early and then can’t tell what’s doing what. If you’re in your forties and wondering where to start, I’ve also written about what I use on mature skin at 43.
The discount codes, and which one to use
There are two floating about at the moment, and the site only has one code box, so you get one of them.
SEOULFESTIVAL10 takes 10% off while their Seoul Festival sale is running. That’s the bigger discount and there’s a sale on top of it, so that’s the one I’d type in.
NEVEEN is my own code and takes 5% off. It’s there all the time, including after the festival packs up.
Both of them sit happily alongside the free shipping over £45 in the UK, or $50 in the US and the free samples, since those aren’t codes. Full terms and the copy-and-paste version are on my SkinSeoul discount code page.
Other places to buy the same brands
One shop never answers everything, because stock and shipping move around constantly. Stylevana runs the widest sales of the lot, and I’ve written a separate honest look at whether Stylevana is legit after five years of ordering from them, YesStyle is the one I use when I want K-beauty and half a dozen other things in the same basket, and StyleKorean tends to get the Korean-exclusive launches first. Olive Young is the Korean high street, straight from source. All four are on my where I buy everything post with the codes.
So, is SkinSeoul legit? Yes
Saying it plainly, because it’s the question that brings most people to a page like this. SkinSeoul is a legitimate retailer. It’s a registered company, SKINSEOUL PTE. LTD., with a trading address in Singapore and two branches in Korea. Orders ship through named fulfilment partners rather than a mystery warehouse. There are public customer reviews on Trustpilot and reviews.io that anyone can go and read, and the site runs an authenticity guarantee across everything it sells.
The question gets asked as often as it does for two reasons, and neither of them is about SkinSeoul. One is the price gap between Korean retail and UK retail, which looks wrong if your reference point is a Boots shelf. The other is those similarly named shops clogging up the search results. Buy from skin-seoul.com and you’re buying from the company described above.
SkinSeoul FAQ
Is SkinSeoul legit?
Yes. It’s SKINSEOUL PTE. LTD., registered in Singapore with Korean branches, and there are public customer reviews on Trustpilot and reviews.io.
Is SkinSeoul authentic?
The site runs a 100% authenticity guarantee and buys through Korean supply. Check you’re on skin-seoul.com and not one of the similarly named shops.
How long does SkinSeoul take to deliver?
It ships direct from Korea, so give it longer than a UK retailer and expect a quiet patch in the tracking.
Does SkinSeoul ship to the UK and US?
It ships to 24 countries, both of those included. No PO Boxes in the US, and US orders carry a duty charge at checkout.
Is there a SkinSeoul discount code?
SEOULFESTIVAL10 takes 10% off during the Seoul Festival sale. My own code NEVEEN takes 5% off and works year round. One code per order.
I earn a commission if you buy through my links or use my code. It doesn’t cost you anything extra.
