The HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Toner is a K-beauty toner with a fermented black rice base. It’s positioned as a brightening, hydrating toner that also helps with uneven skin tone. The black rice ferment is the hero ingredient, rich in antioxidants, and the formula also contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid – both genuinely useful ingredients rather than just label dressing.
The texture is watery and absorbs quickly. It doesn’t leave any sticky or tacky residue, which for a toner with this many hydrating ingredients is impressive. Skin feels noticeably plumper and more comfortable after use – not in a product-sitting-on-top-of-my-face way but in a genuine this-absorbed-and-did-something way.
Is it safe for Malassezia or seb derm skin?
This has been discussed extensively in the fungal acne community and honestly the answer is: it depends on which version of the formula you have.
