HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Toner [Review]

It’s no secret that I love a good toner, so when I was given the chance to try out the HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Toner I was definitely excited as I had heard so many good things about this toner. It seemed to be pretty popular so I was glad to finally have a bottle of my own to try which was sent to me from JOLSE.

Benefits:

• A nourishing toner formulated with 95% naturally-derived ingredients delivers intense moisture and nourishment to the skin.

• Consists of 2,000ppm Black Rice Extract that helps prevent the signs of aging by enhancing skin elasticity with rich nourishment.

• Contains Hyaluronic Acid for moisturizing the skin and Beta-Glucan for enhancing skin regeneration.

For reference my skin is combo (oily t-zone / dehydrated cheeks) with type 1 Rosacea (the flushing kind). I started using this toner in my AM routine, it felt refreshing and lightweight and had a light lavender scent that didn’t seem to linger, which is likely due to the Lavender oil in the toner. Despite this toner containing alcohol I didn’t get any flare ups or redness in my skin from using this toner, but the alcohol is pretty low on the ingredients list.

In terms of hydration it’s nicely moisturising and sits well under my other skincare & makeup. It’s thin enough that I could layer it multiple times though I’m a bit weary of doing that often due to the lavender oil and the possibility of causing a flare up of redness on my cheeks (though that hasn’t happened just yet – fingers crossed). It’s a lovely toner, not my favourite but it’s nice, I’ll have to keep using it for longer and see how my skin reacts in the long-run.

This toner is NOT fungal acne safe, I’d recommend patch testing if you have sensitive skin (though tbh I recommend patch testing all new skincare just in case).
