Hair, Skin and Nails Vitamins: Which Free Soul One I’d Pick (and What They Can’t Fix)

Free Soul Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies on a white table Last updated: October 2026

I was 19 when I first noticed my hair getting thin. I’m 43 now, and I’ve worn hair toppers for over twenty years.

So when I asked Free Soul for a code for my readers (and they said yes), I knew I had to get one thing out of the way before I wrote a single word about their hair, skin and nails range. My hair loss is the genetic kind. A gummy can’t touch it, and I’d hate for anyone to buy a pot of vitamins thinking it’s going to grow back what genetics took (Free Soul don’t claim that either, to be fair to them). What I actually wanted to know was a lot simpler than all that. What’s in each one, and which one would I send you to?

At a glance

Free Soul sell four products aimed at hair, skin and nails: Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies, Collagen Glow, Collagen Gummies and Multivitamins with Collagen. The Free Soul Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies contain 150µg of biotin and 10mg of zinc per two-gummy serving and are vegetarian. Collagen Glow has 5g of Naticol marine collagen per serving and is made from fish. Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails, but no supplement treats genetic hair loss. The gummies and the multivitamin both contain zinc and biotin, so I would choose one of the two rather than take both. Get a blood test from your GP before you buy. Code NEVEEN25 takes 25% off your whole order at Free Soul, one use per customer, no minimum spend.

What hair, skin and nails vitamins can (and can’t) do

Look, I’ll be straight with you. Vitamins help when your body is short of something. If you’re low in a nutrient your hair and nails rely on, topping it up makes sense. If you’re not low, more doesn’t magically mean thicker hair.

Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails. That’s the wording you’ll see on UK labels, Free Soul’s included, and it’s careful for a reason. Read it again and the key word is maintain. Nobody on that label is promising regrowth.

If you’re losing hair, a supplement on its own won’t treat it. My post on androgenic alopecia in women is a better place to start. And if you want my take on the shampoo side of things, the Kérastase lines worth it when you’re losing your hair covers that.

Get your bloods checked before you buy anything

This is the bit I’d beg you not to skip. Ask your GP for a blood test first. It can show whether you’re actually low in something like iron or vitamin D, so you’re buying what your body needs instead of guessing.

Honestly? It’s the cheapest step in this whole post, and it might change which product you pick. Or tell you that you don’t need one at all.

If you just want the hair, skin and nails one, this is it. Free Soul’s Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies are blueberry gummies that happen to be vegetarian, and the dose is two a day.

Each two-gummy serving has 150µg of biotin and 10mg of zinc, plus vitamin C, vitamins A, E, B6, B12 and D3, and selenium – nine nutrients in total, which is how Free Soul sell it. A pot holds 60 gummies, so it lasts a month. I like that it doesn’t pretend to be anything fancier than it is.

Free Soul Collagen Glow

This is the one I’d lean towards if skin is your main thing. Free Soul Collagen Glow is a powder you stir into a drink, and each serving gives you 5g of Naticol marine collagen peptides.

There are three versions. The Unflavoured one is pure Naticol collagen, so you can tip it into your coffee and forget about it. White Peach and Mixed Berry add vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. Free Soul say skin density and smoothness increased by up to 31% in testing, which is their figure, not mine. One thing to know before you order: it’s made from fish, so it’s a no if you’re allergic or vegan.

Free Soul Collagen Gummies

Free Soul Collagen Gummies come in strawberry and use type 1 hydrolysed collagen from fish. Two a day.

Here’s my honest take. Free Soul’s own page lists 150mg per serving, and a scoop of Collagen Glow gives you 5g, so the gap is huge. Glucose syrup and caster sugar are the first two ingredients too, because that’s what makes a gummy a gummy. If you’ll only ever remember something that tastes like a sweet (no judgment, I get it), these still make sense.

For anyone who’d rather take one thing than three. Free Soul’s Multivitamins with Collagen have 27 vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, D3, B6, B12, zinc, biotin, magnesium and iron, with marine collagen and hyaluronic acid added on top.

You take two capsules a day. It’s the most all-rounder option in the range, and if your blood test comes back fine but you still want a daily multi, this is where I’d go untill something told me otherwise. The collagen in it is marine, so the fish warning applies here too.

Can you take the gummies and the multivitamin together?

Short answer, I wouldn’t double up. The gummies and the multivitamin both contain zinc and biotin, and the Holland & Barrett listing for the gummies says to check with your doctor first if you already take another supplement with zinc in it. And the multivitamin is exactly that.

So pick one of the two. If you want collagen on top, Collagen Glow in Unflavoured is just collagen, which means it isn’t adding more vitamins to the pile.

My pick? The Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies if hair and nails are your focus, Collagen Glow if it’s your skin. And whichever one you go for, do the blood test first.

FAQs about hair, skin and nails vitamins

Do hair, skin and nails vitamins actually work?

They can help if you’re low in a nutrient like biotin or zinc, which contribute to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails. If you’re not low, extra won’t make much difference, and they won’t treat genetic hair loss. A blood test tells you where you stand.

What is in Free Soul Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies?

Each two-gummy serving has 150µg of biotin and 10mg of zinc, plus vitamin C, vitamins A, E, B6, B12 and D3, and selenium. They’re vegetarian and blueberry flavored, and a pot of 60 lasts a month.

Can I take hair, skin and nails gummies with a multivitamin?

I wouldn’t double up. Free Soul’s gummies and their Multivitamins with Collagen both contain zinc and biotin, and the Holland & Barrett listing for the gummies says to check with your doctor if you already take another zinc supplement. Pick one.

Is Free Soul Collagen Glow suitable for vegans?

No. Collagen Glow uses Naticol marine collagen peptides, which come from fish, so it isn’t vegan and isn’t suitable if you have a fish allergy.

Can vitamins stop hair loss?

Not on their own. If a deficiency is part of the problem, correcting it can help, but genetic hair loss needs a hair loss treatment. Speak to your GP if you’re losing hair.

Is there a Free Soul discount code?

Yes. NEVEEN25 takes 25% off your entire order at Free Soul. It’s one use per customer, has no minimum spend, and applies to the first payment on subscriptions.
