Clarins Is at LOOKFANTASTIC Now, and These Are My Favourites

Clarins has landed at LOOKFANTASTIC, and I did make a noise about it.

Clarins isn’t a new brand to me though. I used to go to the Clarins spa in the Bullring in Birmingham, all the time, it was my one nice thing for years until it shut. And the body oils and the lotions have been in my bathroom on and off for about as long as I’ve been buying my own skincare, which at 43 is a fairly long stretch.

So this isn’t me discovering a brand. This is a brand I already love turning up on the site I already order from constantly (my order history there is embarrassing and I’ve made peace with it). Two worlds, one basket.

The short version

Clarins is stocked at LOOKFANTASTIC as of September 2026, and it’s the whole brand rather than a few lines. LOOKFANTASTIC cannot ship Clarins outside the UK. These are the eight I buy with my own money:

Why it’s always been the body products for me

Two reasons, and they’re the same two every time. How moisturising they feel, and the scent they leave sitting on your skin afterwards. That spa smell. It follows you around for hours and it is the whole reason I keep buying them.

I wouldn’t put fragrance anywhere near my face in my skincare. Body care though? Douse me in it. The skin on my body is nowhere near as sensitive as the skin on my face, so I get to be a completely different person from the neck down.

Worth flagging, because if you’re reactive all over rather than just on your face, every single one of these is fragranced and most of them carry declared allergens. I’ve listed them out product by product below so you can decide for yourself.

What’s actually on there

Not a token handful of products, which is what I half expected. It’s the full brand: Clarins skincare, makeup, bath and body, gift sets, ClarinsMen and a refills section. There’s a whole Double Serum collection page, plus Hydra-Essentiel, Multi-Active, Extra-Firming and Super Restorative. The bodycare section alone is 28 products.

Prices, so you know what you’re walking into. Double Serum 30ml is £65. Beauty Flash Balm is £39, Total Cleansing Oil £28, Blue Orchid Oil £45, and the Youth-Protecting SPF50+ for face is £27. Spend £70 on the brand and LOOKFANTASTIC throw in a Clarins Minis Set at the moment, so its worth a scroll before you check out.

One thing to flag before you get too excited, because I know a chunk of you are reading this from the US: LOOKFANTASTIC can’t ship Clarins outside the UK. It says so on the product pages. Annoying, but better you hear it now than at checkout.

Clarins Double Serum Foundation

£49 for 30ml, 37 shades, and it’s flagged as new in.

I bought this one myself and I’ve been wearing it, so I can actually tell you how it goes. It’s a serum and foundation hybrid in a dual-chamber bottle with a dial, so you decide how much comes out. The finish is a luminous satin, which is the whole point of it. Your skin still reads as skin underneath it.

On my combination, mature, type 1 rosacea skin it looked lovely. It evened out my redness without drawing attention to it, and it never went wet or greasy on me, which is usually the thing that makes every bit of texture stand up and wave. Using less gives the prettiest result. I get 8 to 10 hours where it still looks good, and it fades slowly rather than lifting off in patches.

Two honest caveats. It’s fragranced, and the scent is noticeable. It didn’t set my redness off but yours might disagree with mine. And dry skins are split on it, some report it going cakey, so your prep underneath seems to decide which way it goes. I’m very fair and in the lightest shade, and online shade matching at that end is hit and miss, so swatch in person if you can.

Clarins Lip Comfort Oil

£27 for 7ml, various shades.

Clarins lip oils are the reason half the internet started doing lip oils, and mine is one of the products I’d be annoyed to run out of. Plant oils, a bit of colour, that curved applicator that gets right into the corners.

My shade is Honey. It’s also the only one I’ve ever tried, so I can’t sit here ranking them for you. I probably should branch out at some point.

Clarins Lip Perfector

£25 for 12ml.

Different product, same family. This one’s the gloss, and it’s the thing I reach for when I want to look like I’ve made an effort without actually making one. It feels moisturising on the lips rather than sticky, and the colours are lovely.

My favourite is 06 Rosewood Shimmer.

The three Clarins Body Treatment Oils

Tonic, Relax and Contour. All three are £45 for 100ml at LOOKFANTASTIC, all three are in my bathroom, and I’m not picking a favourite because I use them for different jobs.

They’re the products Clarins use in the spa treatments, which is presumably why I got hooked on them in the first place, and honestly that’s a pretty effective business model when you think about it. They all share the same base: hazelnut seed oil, which is the emollient doing the actual moisturising. It’s high in oleic acid and vitamin E, it spreads easily and it sinks in fast rather than sitting on you. Everything else in the bottle is essential oils.

Tonic Body Treatment Oil

Tonic Body Treatment Oil, £45. The original one, launched back in 1965.

What’s in it: hazelnut (Corylus Avellana) seed oil, geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens) flower oil, rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) leaf oil, rosewood (Aniba Rosaeodora) wood oil and mint (Mentha Arvensis) leaf oil, plus the declared fragrance components linalool, citronellol, geraniol, limonene, citral and benzyl benzoate.

Hazelnut oil is doing the moisturising. Geranium, rosemary and mint are the aromatic side, and they’re what make it smell the way it does. No water, no emulsifier, no preservative, because the whole bottle is oil.

It smells herbal and green, rosemary and mint up front with geranium sitting underneath. The most obviously spa-ish of the three, and it wakes you up a bit. Clarins position it for visibly firmer, more toned skin and improved elasticity, and it’s the one they point at stretch marks from pregnancy and weight change.

Relax Body Treatment Oil

Relax Body Treatment Oil, £45.

What’s in it: hazelnut seed oil, bitter orange (Citrus Aurantium Amara) leaf and twig oil, geranium flower oil, basil (Ocimum Basilicum) oil, roman chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) flower oil, parfum, and the declared components linalool, citronellol, geraniol, eugenol, limonene and citral.

Hazelnut oil again. The bitter orange leaf and twig oil is petitgrain, that soft green citrus note, and the chamomile and basil are the calming end of the blend.

Softer and warmer than Tonic. This is the evening one, and Clarins sell it on relieving stress and fatigue and soothing tired muscles after exercise.

Contour Body Treatment Oil

Contour Body Treatment Oil, £45.

Right. I cannot tell you whether this one firms anything. It’s in my bathroom because I like the way it smells, and that’s the entire reason it’s on this list.

What’s in it: hazelnut seed oil, geranium flower oil, lemon (Citrus Limon) peel oil, bitter orange leaf and twig oil, sweet marjoram (Origanum Majorana) leaf oil, tonka bean (Dipteryx Odorata) seed extract, Spanish broom (Spartium Junceum) flower extract, and the declared components citronellol, limonene, geraniol, coumarin, citral and linalool.

Hazelnut oil for the moisture, then lemon peel and bitter orange for the citrus lift and marjoram for the herbal bit. Tonka bean is the warm sweet base note that stops the whole thing smelling like a cleaning product, and it’s also where the coumarin comes from.

Bright citrus with something warm and almost vanilla-ish underneath. My favourite of the three by a mile. Clarins’ own claim for it is firmer, more toned skin and less of a spongy look.

One practical note. Cold-pressed citrus peel oils can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so I use this one in the evening rather than before a day out in the sun.

Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion

£39 for 200ml, the shea butter one, for dry skin.

This is my winter staple. I put it on straight out of the shower while I’m still damp, and then depending on my mood I layer one of the oils over the top of it. That combination is the closest I get to the Bullring at home.

What’s in it: aqua, cetearyl ethylhexanoate, shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), coconut oil, dimethicone, glycerin, butylene glycol, cetearyl alcohol, pentylene glycol, stearyl heptanoate, raspberry (Rubus Idaeus) fruit water, glyceryl myristate, parfum, oat (Avena Sativa) kernel extract, tartaric acid, tamarind (Tamarindus Indica) extract, bitter orange flower wax, and the declared components limonene, benzyl salicylate, hexyl cinnamal, citronellol, eugenol and citral.

Shea butter and coconut oil are the rich emollients, so that’s the cushiony feel. Glycerin and butylene glycol are humectants, they pull water into the skin. Dimethicone is what makes it sink in without leaving you tacky, raspberry water and oat extract are the soothing end, and the tamarind and tartaric acid give it a very gentle exfoliating touch, which is why it doesn’t feel like it’s just sitting on top of flaky skin.

Scent-wise it’s light and floral, much softer than the oils. Clarins put it at 88% ingredients of natural origin and sell it on softening and hydrating even very dry skin, with a finish you don’t have to wait around on before getting dressed.

Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Cream

£29 for 100ml. Definately in my top five hand creams and I’ve tried an unreasonable number. Sinks in, doesn’t leave you unable to open a door handle, does something for your nails and cuticles too.

What’s in it: aqua, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, pentylene glycol, butylene glycol, dimethicone, potassium cetyl phosphate, hydrogenated coco-glycerides, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl myristate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, stearyl heptanoate, glycerin, baobab (Adansonia Digitata) seed oil, parfum, allantoin, sesame (Sesamum Indicum) seed oil, shea butter, lecithin, sodium PCA, tapioca starch, myrrh (Commiphora Myrrha) resin extract, mulberry (Morus Alba) root extract, tocopherol, and the declared components limonene, citronellol, linalool, citral, eugenol and benzyl benzoate. Worth knowing the list shifts a bit between versions, so read the box you’re actually holding.

Sesame seed oil and shea butter are the nourishing oils, allantoin softens and calms rough skin, and sodium PCA and glycerin hold water in. Tapioca starch is the clever bit. That’s why it goes matte instead of leaving a film. Myrrh is the traditional nail and cuticle ingredient Clarins build the product around, and tocopherol is vitamin E.

It smells warm and a bit resinous from the myrrh. Lingers on your hands, which I like. Clarins’ pitch is softer hands, conditioned cuticles and stronger nails, plus an invisible glove effect against cold, heat and hard water.
