If you’ve watched any of my recent YouTube videos, you might have spotted a gold medallion around my neck. That’s the Talisman Celestial Necklace from Abbott Lyon. I’ve had it for about three months now and I wear it quite regularly, so it felt silly not to write about it.

Is Abbott Lyon good quality?
From my necklace, yes. Three months in and mine hasn’t tarnished. It has some weight to it too. And I’d definately buy from them again. I’m already looking at getting more pieces.

The Talisman Celestial Necklace (Gold) is a round, coin-style pendant with a softly textured finish. When I ordered mine I got to pick the chain, with two chain types and about three lengths to choose from. I went for the longest one.

Is Abbott Lyon real gold?
Not my necklace. It’s stainless steel with 18ct gold plating, and that’s what the listing says too. Abbott Lyon also sell sterling silver and gold vermeil pieces, so each listing tells you what it’s made of. Worth a quick look before you buy.
Does Abbott Lyon jewellery tarnish?
Mine hasn’t. I wear it a lot and three months later there’s no tarnish on it. That’s one necklace, so I can’t speak for every piece they make, but it’s held up well for me.

Their site says orders go out within one working day with full tracking. Personalised pieces take longer, and the lead time is shown on each product page. You get a 1 year returns window on unworn pieces that aren’t custom, and a 5 year warranty that covers the plating.
