What NEVEEN-R3 actually gets you
£5 off whichever Glossybox subscription plan you pick. Not 5% – a flat fiver. Which on a one-month plan is a properly decent chunk of it, and on a twelve-month upfront plan is, well, a fiver. Worth thinking about which plan you’re taking before you decide how excited to be.
There’s no minimum spend, and it works across every plan they offer rather than being locked to one. Glossybox confirm on their own referral page that the £5 applies no matter which subscription the new customer buys.
Where to enter it (this is the bit people get wrong)
Right. Pay attention to this bit, because it’s the single most common reason a Glossybox referral code “doesn’t work”. It does not go in the basket. It does not go in a promo code box at checkout. It goes on the registration page, while you’re creating your account.

Only one referral code can be used per new customer, so you can’t stack mine with someone else’s. And if you’ve already made an account without entering it, you’ve likely missed the window – the field lives on registration.

Each box has five beauty products in it and Glossybox say the edit is worth over £50. Pay-monthly plans take the first payment straight away, then typically on or around the first of the month after that.
One thing worth knowing before you commit: upfront plans auto-renew unless you cancel by the term deadline, and if you cancel a rolling plan after the 14th of the month, next month’s box has already been allocated to you so you’ll still get it. Not a scandal, just the kind of thing you want to know on day one rather than day sixty.
New customers only – and they do check
The Glossybox referral scheme is for new customers. Glossybox state it plainly on their own referral page: if you’ve purchased from them before, you can’t use the discount, and the person who referred you doesn’t earn anything either.
So if you had a subscription in 2019, cancelled it, and fancy coming back – this isn’t your route in, and I’d rather tell you now than have you get to the registration page and feel daft. Have a look at whatever welcome offer they’re currently running on the site instead.
Glossy Credit, and why it’s actually the interesting bit
Once you’re a subscriber, you get access to the same referral scheme I’m using. And this is where it gets quite good, because there’s no cap on it.

If you’ve got a few beauty-obsessed friends, that stacks up fast. Three referrals is most of a box. Glossybox actively encourage you to share your link on social too – there are share buttons built into the referral page for exactly that, so you’re not bending any rules by posting it.
Subscribers also get into the Glossy Lounge, which is their offers area, plus priority access and discounts on the Limited Edition boxes and the Advent Calendar. Those sell out, so the priority bit isn’t nothing.

Glossybox student discount
Yes, Glossybox run one. They have a dedicated student page on their own site, and the verification routes are UNiDAYS, Student Beans and TOTUM.
What I’m not going to do is quote you a percentage, because the three platforms are currently advertising different things and the voucher sites are quoting numbers that don’t match any of them. Verify through whichever platform you already use and see what it actually gives you on the day. That’s a more useful answer than a number I’d have to caveat into uselessness.
The student route and my code both exist, they just work differently: student verification is tied to your status and your platform account, mine is a flat £5 with nothing to prove and no portal to log into.
Glossybox NHS discount and Blue Light Card
Honest answer: I looked, and I couldn’t find an NHS, key worker or Blue Light Card scheme on Glossybox’s own site. There are voucher sites confidently advertising one, with a rate attached, and I can’t stand that up against anything Glossybox themselves say.
So I’m not going to invent one. If you’re a key worker and you’ve successfully used a Glossybox NHS or Blue Light discount, tell me what it was and where you got it and I’ll update this page properly. Until then, NEVEEN-R3 is a flat £5 with no verification needed.
My honest take, especially if you’ve got reactive skin or hair loss
Here’s the thing nobody writing about beauty boxes seems to say out loud: a mystery box is a gamble on ingredients you didn’t choose.
For most people that’s the whole fun of it. For me, with type 1 rosacea and seborrhoeic dermatitis, it means I open the box, read five ingredients lists, and hand about two of the products to my sister. Fragranced actives, alcohol-heavy toners, aggressive exfoliating pads – they turn up, and for my face they’re not “a nice surprise”, they’re a week of regret.
Does that make it not worth it? Not necessarily. The July 2026 edit had Molton Brown shampoo and conditioner in it, a Made by Mitchell liquid blush and a beauty sponge, which is a genuinely useful haul. And if you’re anything like me, the sheer act of trying a shampoo you’d never have bought is how you find the one that finally suits your scalp. I’ve discovered things in boxes that became permanent.
But go in with the right expectation. You’re paying somewhere between £11.50 and £13.50 for five things, some of which will be brilliant and some of which will go straight in the “for someone else” drawer. If that maths works for you, it’s a lovely thing to have arrive every month. If you need every product to be usable, buy the specific product instead. That’s not me talking you out of it, it’s me not wanting you cross with me in four months.
